Transport of 9 compressors for Yinson Production Azule Energy's FPSO Agogo

Blue Water's transport ensured on-time and safe arrival, safeguarding the FPSO project schedule

Blue Water is proud to have successfully transported 9 compressors for Yinson Production from Poland to Singapore. This complex operation showcased detailed planning and seamless coordination by the Blue Water team. The compressors were transported over a 100-kilometre route during silent hours at night, minimising disruptions to local communities and traffic. Escorted by a dedicated convoy, the logistics team navigated intricate routes with precision, ensuring smooth and efficient movement throughout the 3-day operation.

The compressors were safely loaded onto the vessel for transport to Singapore, where they will be installed on the FPSO Agogo's topside modules.

Prior to the execution of the transport, Blue Water conducted comprehensive route surveys and on-the-ground modifications to overcome challenges posed by infrastructure constraints, such as low bridges, narrow roads and weak surfaces. From the premises to the final loading at the port, the team managed every step of the logistics, ensuring close coordination between all stakeholders to guarantee on-time delivery.

Navigate complex routes with careful planning

“Transporting oversized and heavy compressors requires careful planning to navigate complex routes while mitigating operational and safety risks. Success relies on detailed preparation, specialised equipment and collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient journey,” said Subrata Podder, Marine & Transport Engineering Manager, Global Technical Engineering at Blue Water.

Anthony Zhuang, Head of Projects, Singapore & Malaysia at Blue Water, added: “Proper transport ensures that the compressors arrive on time and in good working condition, safeguarding the FPSO project schedule and operational timelines. We are proud to bring our expertise to such complex projects, easing logistics challenges and bringing peace of mind to our customers."
