Successful wind project in Norway
Blue Water delivers 2,246 components to Norwegian wind project
Over the past three years, Blue Water has completed several projects in Norway in connection with the establishment of the wind farm Fosen Vind. This is the largest onshore wind turbine project in Europe with a total of 278 wind turbines delivered by Blue Water.
Blue Water was responsible for the transportation of wind turbine components from Spain, Germany and Esbjerg in Denmark to Norway, where Blue Water mobilised a mobile terminal setup for handling the components prior to the road transportation through the mountainous landscape. In Norway, Blue Water’s skilled team has managed the progress of events and coordination between all parties on the dock area and on site.
The Blue Water Quality and Project Management System, Compass Wind, has with great success contributed to making processes more efficient and providing our business partners with the opportunity to monitor status and location of the components during the project. The project amounted to 73 shipments of 2,246 components in total.
