Port solutions for Namibia’s Oil & Gas industry

The team managed the entire process from chartering the vessel, the full export process of the cargo in Ghana as well as the ships agency service

The Blue Water team in Namibia recently provided port agency and local freight forwarding services for a valued Oil & Gas client. Based in Walvis Bay, the team managed the entire process from chartering the vessel, the full export process of the cargo in Ghana as well as the ships agency service. Blue Water secured the offloading of the cargo essential to the Oil & Gas industry, including risers, riser joints and a cable reel, at the Port of Walvis Bay.

In addition to managing the discharge operations both at the quayside and at the storage yard, the Walvis Bay team also acted as the owner's agent for the vessel and assisted with bond store supplies and crew change arrangements. This included obtaining visas, arranging transfers and accommodation.

"In creating this transport solution, we showcased our full scope of integrated logistics solutions, which included chartering, vessel agency, out of gauge handling, transport and successful discharge. Our local knowledge and expertise ensure that we deliver a unique and comprehensive service to our customer," said Kirsten Beeker, General Manager of Blue Water Walvis Bay.
