New office and warehouse for Blue Water Rotterdam
The new larger office reflects the growth journey the office has been on in recent years
Blue Water Rotterdam has finalised the lease for a new modern office and warehouse facility to be opened in the first quarter of 2024. The new facility has a total area of 6,500m2., with 4,500m2 dedicated to warehousing and the remainder reserved for office space. This expansion marks a substantial increase in capacity compared to the office’s current location.
Strategically located close to Europe's largest port, Blue Water Rotterdam is well positioned to offer various logistics solutions. In recent years, the operations have grown steadily, making the need for a larger facility even more apparent. A key driver behind this expansion is the increase in logistics services for Cruise and Marine, a sector in which the office has been actively involved in since 1999.
In addition, the dedicated Energy, Ports and Projects team, which specialises in providing global transport and logistics solutions for oil, gas and renewables, has experienced remarkable growth. The team, which initially consisted of four employees, has now more than doubled in size, with ten dedicated professionals.
Hans Poiesz, Managing Director of Blue Water Holland for the past 40 years remarks, "This new office space is a testament to the growth we've witnessed in recent years. Our current premises can no longer accommodate our needs, especially as we have increased our activities. With just 500 m2 of office space and 1.800 m2 of warehouse space in our current setup, it will be interesting to utilise our new location and accommodate the company's future growth plans."
Blue Water Rotterdam covers various logistic solutions, but the Reefer Sea business remains a cornerstone of the location's operations. Since the opening of the office, transporting temperature-controlled goods by sea has been a substantial and consistent service.
