High ethical standards in business practices

With its updated Supplier Code of Conduct, Blue Water is raising the bar for expectations towards ethical standards among its more than 12,000 suppliers

At Blue Water, we strive to integrate sustainability into everything we do. We prioritise fairness, transparency and accountability in our operations. And we focus on responsible environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions and services.

To uphold these high standards, we have introduced a new Supplier Code of Conduct that applies to all of Blue Water's more than 12,000 suppliers worldwide.

Our updated Supplier Code of Conduct highlights the importance of compliance with international regulations, including those of the OECD and the UN Global Compact. We expect our suppliers to align with these standards and proactively manage risks, particularly those related to human rights and environmental impact. These new requirements reflect Blue Water's ongoing commitment to conducting business with integrity and fostering an inclusive and respectful supply chain.

Highlights from the updated Supplier Code of Conduct:

  • Blue Water has adopted strict expectations to eliminate modern slavery, forced labour and child labour throughout the supply chain. We require suppliers to implement robust policies that ensure the humane treatment of workers and uphold fair wages, working hours and safe working conditions.
  • We expect all suppliers to develop and implement compliance initiatives to actively reduce their environmental footprint, including carbon emissions and resource use. Blue Water wants to contribute to a more sustainable future, and we expect our partners to share this commitment by implementing strategies that minimise their environmental impact.
  • In line with international anti-corruption laws, Blue Water enforces a zero-tolerance policy on bribery and facilitation payments. Suppliers must conduct their business with transparency and integrity, avoiding any actions that could compromise ethical standards.
  • The Code of Conduct requires suppliers to maintain the highest health and safety standards. From providing necessary protective equipment to ensuring safe working conditions, we aim to foster a culture of safety at every level of our supply chain.

By aligning with Blue Water’s updated Supplier Code of Conduct, our suppliers are not only meeting legal and regulatory obligations, but also contributing to a global movement towards ethical and sustainable business. Together, we are building a future where responsible practices are the foundation of success.
