Blue Water and Vestas have deepened their long-standing cooperation by expanding their Port Service and Stevedoring activities to include Vestas' new factory in Szczecin, Poland. The expansion reflects the shared commitment of Vestas and Blue Water to safety, quality and innovation in the renewable energy sector.

"We look forward to this expansion and are honoured that Vestas has entrusted us with this assignment for their new factory. Our local presence and extensive knowledge in running terminal operations and handling wind turbine components will ensure a seamless process," said Brian Sørensen, Commercial Director Port Service at Blue Water.

Vestas and Blue Water have worked together for many years on various global wind projects. The two Danish companies collaborate in Esbjerg, Denmark, and Cuxhaven, Germany, with Blue Water handling terminal operations, stevedoring, storage, agency and maintenance of heavy wind turbine components for Vestas.

Focus on safety and quality

“We are confident in expanding our relationship with Blue Water,” says Søren B. Andersen, Head of Transport Readiness, Global Supply Chain at Vestas. “We have worked with them for many years and their focus on safety and quality is essential to us, along with their strong experience in handling wind components. We share the same values for the success of this project.”

The new agreement for Szczecin is supported by Blue Water's already strong local presence in the city. The team will be further expanded to provide more comprehensive port service logistics with experienced local colleagues. “We are pleased to expand our presence in Szczecin, enhancing our team with more local experts,” adds Sørensen.
