Blue Water opens office at Hamburg Airport
By offering Air and Sea freight solutions from Hamburg Airport, Blue Water is growing further in Germany
The opening of a new office at Hamburg Airport further expands Blue Water's presence in Germany as a provider of high-quality global transport and logistics services. With an established office in the Port of Hamburg and a recently opened project office in Bremen, the addition of Hamburg Airport further strengthens Blue Water's position in the German logistics market.
As one of the largest exports markets in the world, a large share of German products is distributed to the rest of Europe and the world through Hamburg. Now, Blue Water can support with locally supplied services.
“Being a central air hub and transhipment point in Europe, we already handle a significant amount of traffic to and from Germany, and from now on, these logistics will be handled through our own office instead of through agents”, explains Jörn Baetke, Country Manager Germany, GC Sea & Air, on the importance of the new office.
Keeping customised solutions at the centre
The main activities for the new office cover import and export services to and from all German airports as well as air freight related services such as consolidations, trucking, warehousing, cargo insurance and customs clearance. Besides air freight, the team also holds sea freight specialists managing import/export, FCL and LCL freight forwarding based on a worldwide network and the additional services around the sea freight.
“We look forward to introducing the local Blue Water service level to the market and creating tailored transport and logistics solutions. Our team at Hamburg Airport is competent, highly skilled and brings many years of experience in the industry to the table,” says Silke Löw, Manager Airfreight Germany.
