Blue Water joins Danish Commitment to sustainable energy transition
Industry leaders sign strategic agreement supporting the acceleration of Wind energy in Brazil
Blue Water is pleased to announce its active participation in a significant collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable energy practices.
During the Brazil Windpower conference in São Paulo, Blue Water aligned with eight Danish industry leaders. Under the direction of Laurids Refslund, General Consul of Denmark in São Paulo, these organisations signed a strategic agreement to support policy development for accelerating Brazil’s energy transition. This partnership underscores the urgent need for coordinated climate action on a global scale.
At the conference in São Paulo, the Danish Trade Council stated that to combat change impacts, this initiative’s focus on renewable energy technology is vital for fostering a sustainable future.
"The signing of this important agreement is a natural step for us, as this is an area where we have strong competencies and global experience that we can apply in Brazil. Our skills in wind logistics, offshore operations, port services and infrastructure development projects will be very useful together with our partners' skills in this wind vision for Brazil, expanding sustainable energy sourcing," says Renata Malina Pfeffer, Business Development Manager for South America, Blue Water.
Current priorities include advancing renewable energy, sustainable fuels and the decarbonisation of key economic sectors both domestically and internationally. This encompasses policy formulation, investment allocation, technology expansion and innovation.
“The possibilities for especially offshore wind energy in Brazil are emerging, and we are pleased to be onboard at this stage, as we have the necessary expertise to bring this to life logistically. The offshore part of wind energy is not yet widespread in Brazil, and with our comprehensive team of experts, we can contribute to the positive sustainable development by signing this agreement”, explains Torben Andersen, who is Global Director Wind, Blue Water.
