Blue Water and Cyan Renewables jointly announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cement their partnership in providing a wide range of logistical services and infrastructure to facilitate the transportation of offshore wind components via the ocean/road, route survey, port marshalling yard and more.
The offshore wind industry in Asia Pacific is on the cusp of rapid expansion. To support this growth sustainably and efficiently, the consortium combines its expertise and resources to develop comprehensive logistical solutions. It also seeks opportunities to establish marshalling ports for the rapidly expanding offshore wind industry in the Asia Pacific region.
Both companies recognise a natural synergy in this collaboration with Cyan Renewables’ deep expertise and broad connections in the offshore wind industry and Blue Water’s extensive experience in offshore wind marshalling port management and maritime logistics. Together, we are committed to resolving key logistical issues, particularly regarding the supply of critical components and the efficient support of offshore wind installation and O&M (operations and maintenance) operations
"We are humbled for the opportunity to join forces with Cyan Renewables Pte Ltd as one of the consortium partners to explore opportunities that will drive the advancement of offshore wind initiatives in the Asia Pacific region," said Jason Goh, Regional Managing Director, Asia at Blue Water. "Through this partnership, we aim to address critical logistical challenges and contribute to the sustainable growth of the offshore wind industry, ultimately advancing the region's renewable energy transition."
“This collaboration with Blue Water came at a critical time of robust growth in Asia’s offshore wind industry, allowing us to address the sector’s pressing infrastructure needs and logistical complexities. By merging our expertise and resources in offshore wind, we can streamline the supply chain and ensure that the supply of critical components and services is handled efficiently, paving the way for the region's renewable energy expansion," said Lee Keng Lin, CEO of Cyan Renewables.
The consortium represents a proactive, sustainable effort to support offshore wind projects across the Asia Pacific. Beyond addressing the current logistical challenges, it also establishes a framework for long-term success as the offshore wind industry continues to evolve and expand in the region.
