Air Greenland renews Aerospace Logistics contract

Blue Water is happy to continue the long-term collaboration with Air Greenland Technical department

Air Greenland Technical department and Blue Water have renewed their joint commitment and cooperation after a tender. The contract is renewed until 2027 and is based on our Aerospace Logistics solutions for Air Greenland's logistics needs related to the fleet in Greenland.

The fleet is based on 10 aircrafts and 25 helicopters, all of which serve different needs in Greenland, including SAR (Search and Rescue) and defence tasks.

“We decided to continue the cooperation after a tender as Blue Water is able to offer us good service and constantly manages to optimise our supply chain costs and effectiveness”, says Tina Chemnitz, Procurement Manager of Air Greenland.

Lars Engelhardt from Blue Water Aerospace Nordics recently visited Nuuk to sign the new two-year contract with Tina Chemnitz, where they had the chance to discuss opportunities for optimising the logistics solutions.

Jonas Andersen, Global Director Aerospace Logistics, elaborates: "The contract shows our ambition and approach to be "best in town" in the Nordic and global aerospace markets, as our Aerospace Control Towers know and understand the needs of airlines and companies such as Air Greenland, which are an important part of the Greenlandic society. As a result, we must constantly improve and create tailor-made logistics solutions to keep their aircraft fleet in the air".

Greenland is currently experiencing several infrastructure changes with an international airport in Nuuk in 2024 and new international airports in Ilulissat and Qaqortoq in the coming years. Blue Water Greenland is also part of the changes, having recently partnered with Air Greenland Cargo on the new seafood adventure.
